On a surf trip to Mexico in 2003, surfers & athletes Jennifer Hinton & Thayer Sylvester had a vision: to be able to surf comfortably without having to squeeze their rears into boardshorts designed for juniors. They took a leap of faith, quit their jobs and dedicated themselves to designing and manufacturing boardshorts for real women that would fit well and look great in and out of the water. We had the pleasure of working with Kristen Kellogg from Border Free Travels on the beautiful island of Maui while she produced our inspiring short films about Surf, Yoga & Retreat Life ~ A Swell Life & About SwellWomen.   Exploring rugged to refined, filmmaker, digital storyteller, and travel expert Kristen has designed her life for living out of a suitcase. Her Wanderlust Website + Content Creation Agency, Border Free Travels, focuses on highly engaging lifestyle storytelling through film, photography, and innovative media tied to travel. She not only creates content but provides consulting to brands and destinations for digital marketing, social media, and modern campaign concepts that will best reach and engage their desired audience.

 Kristen recently produced work for the Travel Channel and Thailand Tourism, and her work has been featured in a variety of outlets such as Yahoo, Daily Mail, AFAR, MSN, and Microsoft among others. Kristen is from Southern Illinois, has an obsession with cheese, loves talking to strangers (in person and on Instagram), and feels most at home when she’s not.
